Goals Dashboard - Track Engineering Goals with Live Data

11 Jun

2025

We’ve just added a new Goals Dashboard inside DevDynamics to help engineering teams set, track, and stay aligned on real goals — with no spreadsheets, no HR forms, and no guessing.

Why we built this

  • Most engineering goals live in a Notion doc or OKR tool.
  • They’re updated once (maybe), then forgotten.
  • The tools were built for HR. Not for engineering.
  • They don’t pull real-time data.
  • They don’t tell you when you’re falling behind.
  • You only find out in the review meeting — when it’s too late to do anything about it.

So we built a system that actually works for how engineering teams operate.

What you can do now

  • Set real goals tied to delivery work — like “Resolve 40 bugs this sprint” or “Keep PR cycle time under 2 days”
  • Choose your scope — track goals by team, project, sprint, release, or initiative
  • Track progress automatically using data from GitHub, Jira, and your DevDynamics metrics
  • See what’s at risk early — trend lines, pacing, and AI-generated projections
  • Drill down into what caused a delay — which sprint, which repo, which bottleneck

No need for manual updates. No need to ask around. You’ll know where things stand, every day.
